To reset your password, please follow the instructions below:


From your web browser

1. Go to

2. Click on the "Sign in" link in the upper right of the page

3. Click on the "Forget Password?" link on the sign in page

4. Enter your email address


From your OpenTable iOS App

1. Click on the "Profile" icon in the bottom right of the app

2. Choose "Sign in with OpenTable"

3. Click on the grey "Forgot your password?" link under the password text box

4. You will be taken to our password reset page; enter your email address


From your OpenTable Android App

1. Click on the menu button in the upper left of the app

2. Click "Sign in"

3. Click "Forgot Password?

4. You will be taken to our password reset page; enter your email address



There are two reasons why your account may be locked.

  1. If you tried unsuccessfully to sign in to your OpenTable account 10 times it will temporarily be deactivated for your safety. Once deactivated even the correct password would no longer work for a short time. Should you experience issues signing-in, even after waiting, you can contact us and we will gladly assist you in restoring access!


  2. When you accumulate four no-show reservations, your account is automatically deactivated. We have established this practice to ensure that our partner restaurants can enjoy the patronage of diners who regularly either honor or cancel their reservations if they cannot make them. Any time a restaurant marks you as a no-show, an email is automatically generated to inform you that your reservation has been marked as such. If you did not receive an email notifying you of the no-show status at the restaurant, please read this article.
